The Office of the Vermont Attorney General announced that during the process of jury selection yesterday in Vermont Superior Court in the county of Windsor, Philip Grasso, 58, of Manchester, Connecticut, pleaded guilty to five charges : sexual assault of a minor, two counts of lewd or lascivious conduct with a child and two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.
According to documents filed with the Court, Mr. Grasso has sexually abused a child under 16 years between 1998 and 2003 in Springfield, Vermont.These documents also indicate that the lewd and lascivious conduct with a child and the offense and the offense lewd lascivious conduct occurred during visits at the weekend in Springfield, Peru and Perkinsville, Vermont, during the same period of five years .
The court ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing should take place in Vermont Superior Court in White River Junction in about six weeks.
