Aurora man faces two felony charges; accused of hitting woman with skillet

Michael Glover, 38, 400 block of Echo Lane, Aurora, was charged with felonies domestic battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanors domestic battery, interfering with reporting of domestic violence, criminal damage to property and trespassing for an incident that occurred Wednesday in Aurora, the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said.

According to prosecutors, Glover pushed a woman and hit her on the head with a skillet. Glover grabbed the woman’s cell phone as she tried to call police and caused damage to several items in her house, police said. Glover has two previous misdemeanor convictions for domestic battery, prosecutors said.

Aurora

Joseph Baker, 28, 1800 block of Lilac Lane, Aurora, was charged with felony violating an order of protection at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue, police said.

Luis Morales, 43, 800 block of North Randall Road, Aurora, was charged with felonies delivery of 30 to 500 grams of marijuana and possession of 30 to 500 grams of marijuana as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on Wednesday, the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said.

Batavia

A driver told police her accelerator pedal became stuck when she hit the Walgreens store around 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of West Fabyan Parkway, police said. No one was hurt. The driver was not ticketed. Police did not release damage estimates.

Geneva

Vandals spray painted graffiti on an industrial building in the 400 block of Union Avenue west of Wheeler Park, police said. Police found caricatures, images and words, such as “relax” and “love ur cat.”

Portia Johnson, 49, 100 block of Garfield Street, Geneva, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane usage at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of East State Street, police said.
