“I want to put Oakdale McDonald’s on the map,” he said. “I want people from Wisconsin and Iowa to come to our Oakdale McDonald’s. I want to make sure that the word spreads.”

Binder said he expects to give away one car key per week to a randomly selected customer through November, and then in December bring all the key-holders together. The person whose key starts the car wins it, he said.

The new restaurant will have drive-through menu boards that change based on the time of day and all of the latest kitchen equipment, he said.

Inside, there will be an HD television, he said, as well as wireless Internet. Seating, he said, will include high-top tables, booths and regular tables.

Aside from rain delays, construction on the new building is going smoothly, he said, and the kitchen equipment is expected to arrive this week.

The restaurant’s drive-through window will be open 24 hours per day, he said.
