Well, I've determined that the Carbon Fiber rods are not unbreakable. Whenever a firearm isn't used within a month, I pull it for inspection. I had my Yugo 59/66 in the gun vice and was attempting to run a patch down the barrel from the chamber end. With the bolt pulled and the housing removed, this normally isn't a problem. I, like an idiot, grabbed the wrong rod. I didn't realize this until I had the patch most of the way down the pipe. Only then did I realize that I had used the 26" .22lr rod. Instead of my 36" rod. ...I tried to raise the handle sufficiently to clear the back of the receiver and run her forward. No problem so far, and I could now see the patch through the rearmost comp holes in the GL sleeve. With three inches to go, I pushed a little further(Snap!). Only to bust the rod. It was a dumb move but, I learned something. The Carbon Fiber Rods are great but, not indestructible. $26.00 lesson I could have done without. By the way, you can just unscrew the jag and swap rods. Why I didn't think of this at the time I'll never know.
